Below is the list of tasks that have been done to give you some idea.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and purchase kitchen (done pre-Alaska)<\/li>\n<li>Demolition and disposal of old kitchen<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>about 15 cabinets including the sink demolished<\/li>\n<li>wallpaper stripped<\/li>\n<li>carpet pulled up<\/li>\n<li>temporary removal of fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and all items from cupboards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>Redo electrical cabling<\/li>\n<li>Walls replastered<\/li>\n<li>Take delivery of kitchen and check all items<\/li>\n<li>Rework gas pipes<\/li>\n<li>Rework water pipes including wall outlet<\/li>\n<li>assemble and fit base cabinets<\/li>\n<li>get worktop cut<\/li>\n<li>fit sink<\/li>\n<li>sand door frame and wood boxing<\/li>\n<li>paint walls &#8211; 2 white coats and one coloured<\/li>\n<li>replace and paint skirting<\/li>\n<li>fit hob and oven<\/li>\n<li>assemble and hang wall cabinets<\/li>\n<li>fit all cabinet doors<\/li>\n<li>restore dishwasher and washing machine<\/li>\n<li>fit outside piping<\/li>\n<li>drill hole for power to shed for tumble dryer<\/li>\n<li>channel shed cabling into concrete<\/li>\n<li>wire shed for power and lighting<\/li>\n<li>fit soft shut fittings for doors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Still to do!!!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>refit carpet<\/li>\n<li>restore fridge<\/li>\n<li>fit edging<\/li>\n<li>fit plinths<\/li>\n<li>put up glass shelving<\/li>\n<li>clear shed for dryer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I think that&#8217;s most of it but this list still probably doesn&#8217;t do the job justice.  And to think I thought a few days off and we&#8217;d get it done. Also originally set a budget of about \u00a31000.  It became obvious that this wasn&#8217;t realistic so revised target to around \u00a31500.
